Thru thick and thru thin.
Being family Gives permanent ties,
For which I am grateful
To be in your life.
Though our paths may lead
Down separate roads,
God gave us each other
To help with the load.
God had a great plan,
As He always does.
Growing together

My life without you.

Thanksgiving 2008

So we celebrated Cherisa and Tayson Birthday this weekend while they were home for Thanksgiving. Some how I ended up getting whip cream threw in my face. Yes it was all Wes Robertson my loving brother in law fault. I guess a year ago I got him with frosting I dont remember what for but I do remember I got him GOOD and you can see in the video he got me back. My loving husband was in on it too. So again we spend our family gatherings with food fights. Usually it is water but I guess that is getting old. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We spent it at my Aunt Cindys house. We first had a wonderful meal at my sister in law and brother in laws (Kathryn and Jeff) house on Wednesday night, then on Thursday we went to my aunts. I think I have ate enough turkey for the year. Here are some of our Thanksgiving picture.
In the top picture is everyone getting dinner ready. The bottom one is of all us cousin from left to right is Marie (Erics girlfriend, Breann, Jennie, Me, Kelby, and Cherisa). So I hope everyone had a amuzing Thanksgiving like we did. Love you all

Today is World Diabetes Day.
Chelsie our oldest daughter has type 1. She has had it for almost 5 years now. Here is a website that you can go to and learn more about this disease www.worlddiabetesday.org please remember if you look at this site Chelsie is doing fine. We have had a few kids in our town lately die from this. So has we keep fighting for a cure. Our daughter keeps living a life with it. I have always thought that one day they will tell me that the cure has been found. I now just watch her grow into a beautiful young lady, she has done things that I never thought she could do. She has not let this hold her down from anything. So remember today as a day that one day there will be a cure and until then we will keep fighting it. We love you all.

EVFD DEMOLITION DERBY

Brian Hortin(my cousin) is in the white care
go Brian X42
They do anything to get the cars out
The Evanston Firefighter Dept doing the Hockie Pockie and Yes my dad and brother-in-law Wes are in there
Dad dancing
Eric Royer and Ty holding the Wyoming Flag and EVFD Flag
My HEROS Jaron is on the far left, Wes is in the first yellow hat

So the day of the Derby starts about 9:00 am. We get to the rodeo grounds and start setting things up. Then around 11:00 cars start coming and the fun begins. We see all kinds of different paint jobs and cars with stacks on them. If you don't know the derby is the fire dept main event of the year where they make the money for equipment to protect our hero's. Anyways it was a special year again for us becuz my cousin Brian was here again from California. He had two cars didn't do well but was great seeing him. We love you Brian. The derby starts at 6:00 pm with the fire dept doing a special performances and our very own firefighter Chris Bodine sang the national anthem. We think he should go to American Idol,LOL. Then the cars come out for the best paint job. The crowd cheers for the best paint job, why they paint them so nice I will never understand they a destroyed it 2 seconds. After that the first heat starts Brian was in this one. His car was not running well so instead of getting hit he got out before it started. So then it started the cars crashed and crashed. It is the only time you can crash and not get a ticket HAHA. So the second heat started and Brian was in that one too. He did okay until his car got a good hit and died. We had a new event this year it was mini-vans and yes they did look cool driving in a mini van LOL. The announcer this year had our firefighters getting out in the middle of the pit and stand in a circle and do the hockie pockie. That started it all off My dad (who won the best dancer in his senior class 30 years ago) decided to dance for the crowd again us girls were embarrassed keep in mind we know everyone in town. He started dropping his bunker gear pants he had other pants on but some girls came down and gave him 3 dollars. Dad we love you. So the event ends around 10:30pm. We stay there until 12:00 am to kinda get things cleaned up. Then the next morning we go back and clean up good. So if you are every in little town EvanstonWyoming on the second Saturday of September and you hear cars crashing and people cheering come join the fun. We love our Firefighters and what amazing men they are. I have the joy having 3 of them in my family. Never forget the once we lost and always remember what once we have and what they do for us. My hero's forever. I love you all.

Labor Day 2008

It is September now and it gets busy around here. We start with Labor Day weekend (aka Cowboy Days) There are 3 rodeos Sat, Sun nite and Monday afternoon. Then we have the parade Monday morning. So we started our weekend with the fish catch(sorry don't have picture of that) Caden caught one it was so yummy. Then we went to the parade YES it snowed this day how I love Wyoming!! Durning the parade our Evanston Fire Department collects money for MDA, Fill the Boot. So Jaron and dad walk the whole parade about 4 miles to collect money for this special organization. Then we went to the rodeo for one reason cuz it was freezing, but my nephews Bubba and Leebie were muton bustin(sheep riding). So it was muddy but a good show. After this long weekend we have next the derby which I will have to update then. It is the main event of the year. So get prepared to see some cool things. The derby is put on by our EFD. What an event. I wish everyone could come see it.

I guess there was this little boy who was crying so Caden went over to him and put his arm around him and said "I miss my mom too", and then took the little boy over to the teacher and said"I think he needs a hug". First Day of School

Chelsie First Day of 7Th Grade
Ashley and Caden First day of 2ND and Kindergarten

So school has started. I was very excited to have all 3 of our children going to school until that day then I realized my baby was growing up. I cried I will say I was sad. So I took Chelsie to school at 7:30 am and she wouldn't let me walk her in she to cool now I guess. I then got Ashley and Caden ready. Caden was so excited. I took them to school around 8:15 am. We got there took Caden to his class first and meet his teacher Mrs. Platt. Mrs. Platt has had all 3 of our children(what a lucky lady haha), he got shy when she said hi . Then we took Ashley to her class. She has Mrs. Badura. So we then went to eat breakfast at this point I was getting kinda emotional so Jaron told me to leave as you all know Jaron gets the pleasure of spending every day with Ashley and Caden. So I left and went to work. The kids love school. My mom says it is better to let go of your kids when they are happy with school instead of kicking and screaming. Not so I was still very sad to know that all our kids are growing up so fast.

Bear Lake Trip

So school starts in 2 weeks so we thought we would take a little trip to Bear Lake (in Idaho) for the weekend. Jarons sister Kathryn in laws invited us to go with them so we load up the trailer and headed to Bear Lake . We got there around 4 on Friday got camp all set up and headed to the lake. We played in the water for a little bit then went back to camp and had dinner. The campground we stayed at is on the north side of the lake called Hot Springs campground, so we decided to go get in the hot springs pool we played there for awhile. Until the BATS came out . Jon and his kids showed up about 10:30 Friday night got them all set up and headed to bed. Saturday was another full day at the lake my sister Tiffany and her husband Wes showed up with their kids and the boat. So we all took turns tubing and knee boarding. As you can see Jaron got up on the knee board. Around 2 it started raining so hard so we went back to camp for awhile then back to the hot springs for the rest of the night the lake was cold. We cook smores that night and then headed into Garden City for Raspberry shakes (yummy yummy!!!) when we got back we headed to bed. It rained all night but we sleep thru it.HAHA!!!. We wake up Sunday and headed to the lake a little cold but we played in it anyways we got out on the boat for a little then headed home. It was so Fun. Now the Kids and Dad are ready for school all nicely tanned
